- There is a time-out policy for discipline. The child is removed from the group and allowed to regain composure. The teacher makes sure the child understands the reason for the time-out and helps him/her re-enter group in a positive way. In cases of constant and/or extreme discipline problems, NBBC Child Care Center reserves the right to dismiss children from our program. Before dismissal, except in extreme cases, the Director will hold a conference with the parent(s) and a probationary period will be established, usually for two weeks. This gives the child opportunity to improve his/her behavior.
If your child is expelled from school for any reason, he/she will not be allowed to come to the center until the official time is up.
The New Bridge Baptist Church Child Development Center Creed
The center strives to help your child develop a Christian attitude by acknowledging the existence of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We also understand that the need to foster a postive self-image, to stimulate self-confidence and independence, and to help our children become more secure in social, emotional, and academic areas. Each child is encouraged to express her- or himself through various media: art, creative drama, free play, music and so on.
Through the team effort of parent, child, and teacher, your child(ren) are allowed to develop at their own pace by establishing positive attitudes about themselves and the world around them.
We at New Bridge Baptist Church Child Care Center will do our best to educate and befriend your child, but we reserve the right after a conference with the parents to terminate our services if he or she has repeated inappropriate discipline behaviors or displays behavior inappropriate to the faith based doctrine of the center.
